The problem with marketing is that it is a very personal endeavor. We all have our own ideas of what marketing is supposed to be about, and there is a huge difference between a well-defined market and a wide market. Market research is the process of asking questions of your market. The more questions you ask, the better your understanding of your market.
Marketing is as hard to define as it is to implement. A market is defined as the group of people in your area who are interested in the product you are offering. For most products there is a broad market, and there are narrow markets. For example, there are millions of users of Facebook. Each one is a separate market, and each one is a separate marketer.
Marketing is also about finding the right questions to ask. One of the simplest ways to do market research is to go to every person you know, ask them a question, and see if you can get an answer that makes sense to you. One of the things that’s important to keep in mind when marketing is that not all markets are equal. A market may be large and have lots of people, or it may be small and have just one user.
The thing that I like about marketing on YouTube is that I can watch a video and immediately know whats going on. I don’t need to see the video to get my information. What I can do is search for a keyword and get a list of videos by that keyword. I can then take the list and look for videos that have that keyword in the title. Or I can put it on my blog and list it on my sidebar.
Marketing on the web is very much about getting your message out there, and in this case, that means getting your message across to as many people as possible. When you are on Youtube, you are probably getting 1 million views, but in the end they are still only showing your videos to a few thousand people. That’s a lot of potential viewers. The same is true on Google: your video may be shown to millions of people, but most of what you see is not coming from you.

Well, we’ve talked about the importance of your message in this video, but there is another consideration as well. The “right people” are the people who are most interested in what you have to say. For instance, if your message is about the importance of keeping your home clean, your potential audience is probably the people who are cleaning their homes. If this is an issue that you are interested in addressing, that may include your cleaning friends and family.
Cleaning the home is important to many. For example, I had a home that was in need of carpet repair. I was contacted by a family that wanted their home cleaned. I took the challenge and spent a good amount of time on the job, in spite of the fact that it was nearly impossible. I was able to get my message across to the right people because this was the first time I had touched this part of my business.
