You can also find yourself thinking about life more in the context of the world around you, and therefore you can actually be more creative as you engage with your surroundings.
Technology can be great for this, because it helps you access the information that is now out of reach for individuals without experience in the field. But it can also confuse you.
For example, if you’re interested in how technology can affect your life and work, you might think that it’s only useful when being a CEO or a creative. In reality, technology can also have this exact opposite effect as well. Technology can help you think and act more creatively, but it can also make you less creative and therefore less effective.
In the long run, technology is a tool. It can be used to make the world a better place, but it can also be a hindrance. When you use technology too much, you become the tool instead of the tool itself.
Technology is a tool to give us things, but it can also be a tool that prevents us from giving ourselves things. In other words, technology can make you think, but it can also make you not think. And so the more you use the technology, the more you become the tool.
Our goal in Deathloop is to use technology to give Colt Vahn, a former security guard, the means to get back to the island, and the means to kill each Visionary. If we can do this, we can win back the island. However, the less we use technology the more we become the technology itself.
I’m a fan of the idea of “the technology is the problem” because it reminds me that my life is the only thing I’m truly aware of, so why, with all of my other senses, am I so completely unaware of my surroundings? I can still see my body, but that doesn’t make it any less of a reality. I can still feel my hand, but that doesn’t make it any less a reality. And the same goes for the technology.
Well, it is a reality, but what is more real is that you are the technology, which means you are on a mission to find a cure and destroy the technology that makes you human.
In other words, if you’re looking for a cure, you’re probably not looking to kill an entire world. But just in case you’re not sure, you should maybe look to the people who do. Sure, you could just kill everyone in the world, but you’re still going to be killing your kind. You’re going to be hurting others, and that makes you more of a villain, and probably a bit more of a douche.
The problem is this. When you are the technology, you are the enemy. You are the bad guy. And you have to be the bad guy because when you are the technology, you are the only one with the power to stop the bad guys… and if you are the bad guy, you will eventually die. Even if you kill the bad guys, you will still be an enemy.
