I haven’t actually seen the book yet, but I do plan on purchasing it. He’s a prolific author with a broad, interesting range of interests including marketing books, PR books, and how to write marketing material. He’s also a well known online marketing consultant.
I have to admit I dont read much in the marketing genre, but I do appreciate the insight in Niequist’s book. It is an interesting read that makes a lot of sense and is well worth taking the time to read.
I have to give it to Niequists book. I can honestly say that I don’t have a very large collection of marketing material (although I do enjoy books on how to make money and marketing, but that’s beside the point) and I’ve never really read a book on strategic marketing. But this book is a great little primer for anyone who has a marketing background. It includes lots of examples from my own experience and others and is an excellent resource for anyone starting their marketing career.
While marketing materials are a topic very much covered in marketing books, the book provides a great overview of a wide range of different types of marketing materials. It’s a great little primer for anyone who has a marketing background.
There are some really interesting things going on in the book. For example, the book covers a wide range of different types of marketing materials and the examples provided are all in the context of a strategic marketing plan (which is really a marketing plan that involves the use of lots of different marketing materials).
Another interesting thing is that the book has many, many suggestions for strategic marketing planning. There are several chapters that discuss the different types of marketing materials, but the ones that stood out to me most were the ones that discussed the strategic marketing planning of the various types of marketing materials. For example, there are several chapters that discuss the strategic marketing planning of a billboard, a TV commercial, a magazine ad, a radio ad, a newspaper ad, and even a radio commercial itself.
Most of the strategic marketing planning examples that I saw used the type of marketing materials that we’re discussing above. But there are a couple of chapters that we’ll discuss in more depth below.
Strategic marketing planning is a way to plan and optimize the marketing strategies of an organization. For example, if you are selling a product, you would probably want to do several marketing strategies with several different approaches to how to promote that product. If you look at the most common types of marketing strategies, which I think are the most effective and common, you will see that they all have a bit of a marketing strategy that includes how they will promote the product.
