This DIY scarecrow costume is for women who are self-conscious about their appearance. This costume uses one of my favorite fabric selections, the Halloween fabric. I love the idea of dressing as a scarecrow, but I’ve never been one so I’m not the most confident in my costume. The costume is a little on the gory side, but it was the closest I could come to the Halloween spirit I’ve never been a part of.
This one is a bit scary because the costume has the eyes of a cat and the ears of a human (as well as a dog and a rabbit, as well as a pig who looks like he’s just entered the kitchen). The costume is made of a black and red striped fabric, which will be the theme of the project over the next week.

If you’re a woman, fear not. There are plenty of options for what you could do for your own costume. In fact, you can use this pattern as a pattern for your own headband as well. Just take a piece of fabric (such as black, red, or black and red striped fabric) and fold it in half and cut out 2 squares. This should give you a pattern of black and red stripes. Using those squares, you could cut squares of your own fabric.
Another easy option is to make a custom hat. Just cut out a piece of fabric in half and fold it in half again. This time, fold the fabric in half and cut into triangles. Fold those triangles in half and cut out 4 squares. You can then cut your own fabric triangles.
This is a great DIY for women who like to show off their fashion. It’s a great way to make your own clothing, and you can even make it yourself in whatever colors and patterns you want. It’s also pretty cheap and easy to make. You can even make an inexpensive, stylish hat in just 15 minutes.
