It all comes down to getting people to do what you say you’re going to do. This is the exact opposite of the “cognitive dissonance” that you’ll hear when you talk to your marketing team to get them to do what you want. It’s your team’s job to make sure they’re doing what you want them to do.
This is the exact opposite of how most teams work. Most team-based approaches have a certain process that they follow. After all, it is what they know. If you are a team-based approach, it is important to define what your process is. This can be done through a series of checklists and handoffs. But you don’t need to be a micromanaging type. You can just state your process clearly and leave it to others to adapt to it.
