I saw a deal on used springs for the base of the wedge that I think is about half the price of a new one. I don’t think the price is really that much more than a new wedge if the springs are made and sold separately.
You can also save money by purchasing them at a low price – I would go with the spring over the top part of the wedge. The spring will be a little more expensive, but you can always buy the wedge and spring at one time and save money on the springs.
