I am a big fan of saving up for a large flat file. I love how the one-page spreadsheet gives me full access to my information at a glance. I also love the fact that the file is only as big as I need it to be so I only have to print a few pages to get through the year.
While you can save up to a few hundred pages with a spreadsheet, it really depends on your needs and how you use them. For example, if you don’t get a lot of new information while you’re saving up, you might not be able to finish the file in time for a deadline. If you end up having to print lots of pages you’ll be able to finish the file faster but you’ll be carrying around a ton of paper.
In other words, a file that is too big to save is useless. On the other hand, if you want to do it in bulk, you’ll end up buying a ton of paper.
