The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
To quote the late Stephen Hawking, “We are, all of us, mere speck on a vast cosmic ocean.” Our habit of thinking we are the center of the universe is one of the many reasons we have no control over our lives. Without our ability to consciously direct our thoughts, we are utterly at our own mercy. As a result, the majority of our actions are our own choices. When we do not choose the actions we do, we do not control the outcomes.
This is quite possibly one of the most important points made in this new documentary, Deathloop: The Video Game, which is narrated by the late Stephen Hawking. Hawking explains that we are not at the center of the universe, but at the very center of ourselves. So we all have to take responsibility for our own lives (or not).
Hawking is clearly a highly intelligent man. In this new documentary, he discusses numerous topics from existentialism to the theory of relativity. He talks about death, the idea of free will, and the idea of consciousness and the nature of reality. The first question Hawking asks in the documentary is “Do you believe in God?” Hawking’s answer is not surprising. Hawking believes that we have a divine spark and that we are the most powerful being in all of existence.
Hawking is also a very intelligent man. He is an incredibly successful astrophysicist who has written dozens of books and countless scientific papers. He is also a very accomplished musician, composer, and artist whose work has been featured in music videos and movies. He has also worked with the likes of Bill Nace, Richard Dawkins, and Carl Sagan.
Hawking also believes that humans have a purpose and that it is our destiny to rule the universe. This is quite a statement, and one that many people have read into as fact. This is why most atheist and agnostic people have a hard time agreeing with Hawking’s theology. They see his position as “godless” or “godless materialist.” This is not something that is acceptable to many people, and especially not to people who are quite intelligent like Hawking.
That said, I think that the scientific community has always been pretty good at explaining the big questions. For example, the Big Bang Theory is a pretty good explanation of the origin of the universe, but it is not the complete answer.
A good example of a question for which there isn’t a scientific answer. But like I said, there are no answers that are completely unprovable, because the truth about our universe is so shrouded in mystery. However, the scientific community has always been able to offer explanations to the big questions of science. We just haven’t been able to do the same thing with many of the questions concerning our universe. For example, we don’t have a good understanding of what caused the Big Bang.
The big bang theory holds that the universe was very hot and very dense around the creation of our sun and then expanded to become a universe today. The theory of the Big Bang states that the universe has always existed and that it was expanding and expanding until it reached the size of our universe which is how we know it is real.
Now, the big bang theory is still a part of our current understanding of the universe, but it’s not the only part of it. We don’t even really know what caused the universe to start expanding. There are theories that suggest that the universe expanded due to the gravitational effects of the matter around us. But we also know that it could also have expanded due to some other effect, like the Big Bang itself.
