We have a lot of “convert it marketing” blogs on the internet. We read the ones that are well written and insightful. But, there are others that are just plain spammy.
I hate to say it, but there are those who just don’t “get” the fact that conversion marketing is a growing industry. Many of the marketing blogs we’ve read have a good grasp of marketing and sales, but are way too quick to jump in to get the whole thing out of the way.
Conversion marketing is all about finding ways to make people want to buy your product and then convincing them to do so. Marketing blogs can provide you with great information and tools, but there comes a time when you need to step back and let the sales team do the selling.
I personally think conversion marketing is a great way to gain traction with your product because it’s a direct way to communicate with your customers. The sales person can help you get your product in front of the people who are most likely to buy it. That’s definitely a way to get the word out about your product. You can also use it as a way to get your customers to do the work for you.
Well, I’m a member of the first generation of converts. I started using tools like Convert It Marketing and its a great way to put your products in front of the people who are most likely to use them. Converting a website into a product is a great way to market your product to the right people. You can create a downloadable product, an online course, a printable, a white paper, a pdf, or a webinar. It’s really up to you. It’s important to note, however, that these “products” are still a conversion. You are converting a website into a product because you are taking your web visitors and converting them into customers.
The point is that you can use this method to convert any website. Just because it has a blog, does not mean its not a website. You can convert any website into a product and in fact, you don’t have to charge for it, but if you want it to be worth something, you will have to charge.
But you also have to realize that conversion methods are not guaranteed or even guaranteed to work. There are many other factors that play into the success of conversion including: how easy the website is to navigate, how well the website is optimized for conversions, the type of website (one that sells physical products, one that sells digital products, etc.
In the first episode of our new “conversion marketing” series, we talk to a man who’s been using conversion optimization – or in other words, getting people to buy stuff – for over a decade, and the first thing we ask him is why he thinks conversion marketing is important.
I’ve been working with marketers for over 30 years. Most marketers spend their entire careers figuring out how to convert traffic into paying customers, but few ever try to figure out why visitors do what they do.
